Wenberg Fiskeoppdrett AS is a Norwegian family-owned fish farming company founded in 1985 by the Wenberg family and led by three generations of fish farmers in the Skjerstadfjorden area. The company has been involved in industry development initiatives, including an OceanTECH concept it nicknamed the “UFO” for which it applied for development permits in November 2017. It also participates in related aquaculture ventures: Salten Smolt is described as being owned by Salten Aqua AS, Wenberg Fiskeoppdrett AS, and Edelfarm AS, and a 2022 Salten Aqua Group sustainability report states Wenberg Fiskeoppdrett AS holds 24.5% of Salten Stamfisk.
