Shenzhen Bay Laboratory (SZBL) is a science and research laboratory described as a key strategic deployment by Guangdong Province and Shenzhen to build leading international and domestic science and innovation capabilities. It aims to integrate life and health science research resources (including strengths from Peking University and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area) and focuses on life and health across the full lifecycle, including major diseases such as cancer, metabolic, cardiovascular, and neurodegenerative diseases.
