Shanghai Science and Technology Innovation Fund (上海科创基金) is a market-oriented fund-of-funds launched in 2017 by Shanghai International Group together with several large state-owned enterprises. With a targeted size of RMB 30 billion, the fund focuses on backing sub-funds and technology companies in information technology, biopharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing and new energy/environmental protection sectors, aiming to support the development of Shanghai as a global science-and-technology innovation centre.
