Petra Capital Partners is a Nashville, TN based private equity firm founded in 1996, engaged in providing growth capital for companies located throughout the United States. The partners of Petra have invested more than $650 million in 100 high growth private companies over the past 20 years. We are currently investing out of our third fund, closed in May 2013, with $230 million of available capital. We invest up to $20 million of our own capital per company. We are flexible in how we structure each investment to meet the needs of the owners and our own return objectives. We have invested in subordinated debt with warrants and equity securities. In addition to our own capital, Petra's limited partners are capable of providing additional capital in support of our portfolio companies. We are licensed as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) by the U.S. Small Business Administration, and was named SBIC of the Year in 2012.
