Ludgate Environmental Fund invests in a diverse portfolio of resource efficiency companies for capital growth. The environmental/cleantech sector is characterised by products and services which optimise the use of natural resources while reducing environmental impact in ways that enhance economic value. Opportunities include: energy efficiency and alternative energy sources including renewable energy; water treatment and management; waste management and resource recovery; industrial process advances and emission reduction technologies. The Ludgate Environmental Fund concentrates on resource efficiency companies in, or focused on, Continental Europe and the UK, although its investments are not geographically restricted. Investments typically range from £3-10 million, though total deal sizes can be significantly higher, as they frequently bring in their fund investors as co-investors. No single investment is expected to have a value greater than 15% percent of the net assets of the Company at the point of investment.
