The “Jeju Early-Stage Startup Nurturing Fund” (제주 초기스타트업육성펀드) is a KRW 33 billion fund created in July 2024 with an eight-year term to invest in and accelerate early-stage companies located on Jeju Island, South Korea. Capital commitments came from Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Korea Venture Investment Corp. (Korea’s ‘Fund of Funds’), Kakao, the Social Value Solidarity Foundation, and Jeju National University Technology Holdings. The fund is managed by the Jeju Creative Economy Innovation Center together with impact investor/accelerator MYSC, and will channel at least 60 % of its capital into Jeju-based renewable-energy and green-tech startups, as well as other local ventures.
