The Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) is a public pension fund based in Austin, Texas. Established in 1947, ERS provides pension, retirement, and other benefit programs for state employees. It manages benefits for employees and retirees of State of Texas agencies and institutions, including health insurance, prescription drug coverage, life and AD&D insurance, dental coverage, and tax-advantaged spending/savings accounts.
