The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) is one of the oldest futures and options exchanges in the United States, founded in 1848. It provides a marketplace for trading agricultural, financial and other derivatives contracts. Since its 2007 merger, CBOT now operates as a designated contract market within CME Group, following CBOT rules and regulations.
