It has existed since 2005. Archimedes I was between 2005 and 2010. It was a joint initiative of Keith Teare and Michael Arrington. TechCrunch and edgeio were incubated there. Archimedes II was between 2011 and 2015 it invested in a portfolio that included Quixey (share sold to Alibaba in 2013); M.Dot (sold to GoDaddy); Kwicr (sold to Instart) Archimedes III has existed since 2016. It is now the primary personal vehicle of Keith Teare and has significant equity stakes in Miles; InFarm, Butterfly.ai and other companies in its elevation program. Archimedes is always focused on the the next platform for software led companies. Today that includes blockchain, AI and spacial computing.
